What a whirlwind it's been. Basically from the day of the birth we've had visitors: grandparents, aunties, and good friends. Though it's been incredibly nice to have so many helping hands around to hand off baby when I needed a break, it's also been a lot of negotiation of many different schedules. And as soon as it started, now it's all over and Gabi and I are alone at last.
Already we're getting on a bit of a schedule (or so I like to tell myself.) Spending pretty much every waking moment with my little bundle is both wonderful and challenging and I'm sure we're both going to learn a lot about each other in the days ahead until our next visitor arrives in the beginning of Feb (Here's to you D Baxter :-)
I do have some help in a wonderfully sweet lady who comes over for a couple of hours four days a week to help out and keep me sane. So nice to have this time to myself to just get away, take a yoga class, go surfing, etc.
I'm sure I'll have some new stories about our alone time in the future. Until then here's a collection of pics with some of our visitors:
Ok this is an older picture but I had to include it as I think every once in a while you need a crazy baby face pic. Gabi really did like the tree, I promise :-)
Grandma B and Gabi at "The Blue Lagoon"
The girls
Lore came from Texas and Auntie B from Ireland. Gotta hand it to the Czechies, the girls do travel!
Gabi started rolling over a few weeks ago. Ok, she's only done it three times but I still think she's gifted. Unfortunately I only got the second half of this one on film.
Finally fitting into her swimsuit. Think I'm gonna have a lot of fun dressing this little girl :-)
This is an older picture of Baby G but I had to include it again...
So ya think these two are related :-)
This is Gabi's cousin Cal's latest nap time pic...must be a Walter thing.
