So it's just over a week until Gabi's three months old and am just now getting her 2 month picture up...sounds about par for the course as of late. Gabs and I have been hanging on our own for about a month now and are very much looking forward to her dad coming back later this week! Though it's been really nice being with my little girl down here, I can't say it's always been easy...and I do have help and am pretty much living in tropical paradise. My hat goes off to all those mommies out there that do it on their own!
We've traded in our morning walk to the beach for evening ones instead these days as Gabi's gotten so cute in the mornings all I want to do is lie next to her as she kicks and squawks and coos. By the time that her morning workout is done it's a little too hot for the beach. Instead we head over to the cafe where I eat breakfast and can get some work done (and jump in the pool) if she sleeps long enough. Then home for some more naps and playtime. Her Aunti Dana was here for a bit and brought Gabs a bunch of new toys so playtime just got a whole lot more entertaining.
Every day she learns more, sees more, moves more and talks er..squawks more. Turning into such a cute funny little baby. Here's some more smiley pics and video of our baby G :-)
Tummy time is getting more enjoyable
Sometimes she chills on the couch while mom gets her morning going
Time for a new diaper :-) Now she is really starting to connect with you when she looks your way
New crinkle paper toy is a big hit...
...As is the ball! This one's my favorite. This was the first toy that Gabi could hold onto herself. She had just started to figure out that her hands and fingers could open and close and watching her learn to uncurl her fingers and then grab onto the ball was amazing. You can almost see her thought process as she wraps her little head around these new movements.
We had a great visit with Aunti D last week, though we wish it was a little longer. Nonetheless, baby G got in some good quality time with her auntie and mom got a bit of time off..yay!
A bit of an older pic but just had to include another swimsuit shot :-) Once dad comes back we'll be using Gabi's swimsuits to actually go swimming.
Another hard day at the office
There've been a ton of monkeys around lately. Usually I just hear them howling around town but then this guy started showing up pretty much every day the last week or so. Looks like he found a new route to where ever he's going that takes him right past the bungalow. So far that brings the critters in our yard to: Pisotes (though not coming any more thanks to some sling shot action) bats at night, squirrels, an armadillo, iguanas, and a monkey!
And yet another sunset pic...I know, there's a lot of them...but it really is a great end to the day :-)
