With all our business wrapped up in San Jose: doctors appointments, meeting Jeff's family, etc. We were ready to leave for the beach! Arrived Friday morning and am so happy to be here. It's the rainy season which means most of the population packs up and heads out and pretty much no tourists. Most of the shops are closed and it's a little muggy and wet. Most days the sun comes out for at least a few hours and it's beautiful! The other morning was one of these days and so made out way to the beach around 8am to find quite a few local (expat) families there, some with newborns as well! Everyone has been so kind and all who know Jeff are extremely happy for us. So far the best day of the trip! Even though I'll be happy when it dries out a bit, its's kind of nice being here when no one's around yet as soon enough all the surfers/tourists/crowds will descend on our little town and life will speed up a bit. Here are a few pics of our new digs.

All in all life could definitely be worse. At the very least it's going to be a pretty eventful next five months to be sure! Will spend the next few weeks here getting the place set up for when we come back with baby, turning the rental into someplace that we'll be calling home for the next few months.
